There are gigs—and then there are moments that stay with you for life. Our trip to see Oasis at Wembley was one of those magical nights. Music, memories, and meaning all collided in the most spectacular way, and we couldn’t wait to share the whole experience with our Disko Kids community. Here is our highlights of the first Wembley night THE best night.

This gig meant more than just music for us. It was a way for my daughter Lottie to feel connected to her dad, Ade, who was a huge Oasis fan and passed away when she was very young.

He and I saw Oasis together in Cardiff back in 2009,Glastonbury in 2004 and Manchester before that so being there with Lottie, watching her sing every word, was incredibly special. Liam’s voice was exceptional, the band tight &  the energy of the crowd—it felt like Ade was there with us in spirit. It was powerful, emotional, and did exactly what music is meant to do.

Coming from Birmingham, we made a mini road trip of it, driving down to Watford Junction then onto the Lionesses Line straight to Wembley - no stress, no delays. If you’re planning a trip to Wembley, we highly recommend this route!

We loved walking to the stadium along with all the other fans. Wembley is so well organised, there were no huge queues and everyone was in such good spirits.

We got there just in time for Cast, who were brilliant - after which we bought some merch and watched Richard Ashcroft, who sang an amazing set of his tracks finishing off with of course Bittersweet Symphony.

We had great seats (albeit nearer the back of the stadium) but could still see the stage and screens really well.

Then Oasis..  Liam was on top form! Every note sung perfectly in his own brilliant way.

The Oasis set list was perfect and everyone in that audience was singing at the top of their voices. The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant.

And a special moment? The unexpected Ozzy Osbourne tribute. As “Rock ’n’ Roll Star” played, images of the Prince of Darkness filled the screen in a nod to the legend and all he did for British rock music.

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better—boom—fireworks exploded into the Wembley sky. A sea of fans belting out “Champagne Supernova” under the lights was the perfect finish.

What we wore to see Oasis....

I was wearing my Disko Kids striped supersonic T-shirt, black Asos jeans and adidas trainers (of course) for comfort along with my Seventy-Mochi khaki jacket.

Lottie had bought some merchandise before the gig and wore a Tee with a short white skirt and trainers.

We saw loads of fellow fans repping classic Oasis looks with bucket hats, Adidas and plenty of Oasis T's.

It wasn’t just a concert. It was a memory made, a connection honoured, and a celebration of music that brings generations together. Thank you Oasis. And thank you to everyone we danced alongside under those stadium lights.

The train back to the car was easy and we were home in bed in Brum by 1.30. It was very special to share the evening with Lottie too.

Are you heading to see Oasis or have you already been to their tour this Summer? Let us know your experience in the comments, we would love to hear about it.

Love Helen & Lottie xxx
